Wicked Offers Ultimate Encore Performance for Eight Anniversary on Broadway
It has been eight years since Broadway was first enchanted by the Tony Award winning musical ‘Wicked’. This month, this musical, which has fascinated the imaginations and captivated the hearts of millions, will celebrate its eighth year anniversary with a series of activities winding up on the Ultimate Encore Performance featuring fan-voted favorites sung by the cast of the musical’s current Broadway production.
The Encore will be staged on October 30, Sunday at the Gershwin Theatre after the 3 PM matinee performance. This is a rare, one-time performance and a real treat for ‘Wicked’ fans and those who reside overseas can watch the encore via the musical’s official Facebook page which will be uploaded a few hours after the show.
Meanwhile, other activities lined up for the month-long celebration are the ‘Wicked Style’ costume exhibit at Neiman Marcus from October 13 to 16; the ‘Nuts About Wicked’ event at Tasti D-Lite in Times Square every Wednesday, where fans with ticket stubs can avail of free ice cream toppings; ‘A Wicked Night Out with Satya Jewelry’, where both fans and the cast of the show can mingle amidst sparkling blings and other trendy things; and finally, ‘Boo at the Zoo’ on October 23, Sunday at the Bronx Zoo.
