Wicked Des Moines | Des Moines Civic Center

Wicked will tickle the whims and fancies of Iowan theatre patrons and musical fanatics as it stages its month-long run at the Civic Theatre in Des Moines, from June 17 to July 5, 2020.

Boasting of an adaptation written by Winnie Holzman and based on Gregory Maguire’s novel about the life of Dorothy’s famous nemesis in the Wizard of Oz tale, plus superb scoring from one of Broadway’s best composers, Stephen Schwartz, Wicked is the fascinating tale of the Wicked Witch, or Elphaba as she was known during her younger years before changing into the emerald skinned witch who ruled over Oz and eventually faced off with Dorothy.
