Mila Kunis to Play Wicked Witch of the West in Film Prequel?
Undoubtedly, Mila Kunis played a villain in “Black Swan,” but that’s nothing compared to what she may be doing for her next part. Kunis is currently discussing the role of the Wicked Witch of the West in the future prequel, “Oz, the Great and Powerful.” Based on information from Vulture, the prequel will discuss the histories of Glinda the Good Witch and the Wizard, two of the heroes in the story, and will provide some critical details about Evanorah, the Wicked Witch of the East. This character has a relatively minor role in the original story because Dorothy’s house lands on top of her.
Rent’s Colin Hanlon Goes on Tour with Wicked
Colin Hanlon is set to become the newest cast member of Wicked as it makes its first tour of North America beginning in Appleton, WI on February 15. Hanlon, who will play Fiyero, has been a cast member of Rent on Broadway and I Love You Because on off-Broadway. Other members of the cast include Chandra Lee Schwartz, who plays Glinda; Jackie Burns, who plays Elphaba; Mark Jacoby, who plays the Wizard; and Randy Danson, who plays Madame Morrible.
Next to Normal’s Kyle Dean Massey Returns to Wicked January 25
Kyle Dean Massey of “Next To Normal” is returning to the “Wicked” Broadway company on January 25 at Gershwin Theatre as Fiyero. Massey is succeeding Kyle McDaniel and will be joining the cast that includes Katie Rose Clarke who plays Glinda, Mandy Gonzalez portraying Elphaba, P.J. On November 2, “Wicked’s” Broadway cast will be welcoming two new members to their cast: Etai BenShlomo will be assuming the Boq role and Tom Flynn is taking over the Dr. Dillamond role at Gershwin Theatre. The two actors will be joining a cast currently comprised of Katie Rose Clark playing Glinda, Mandy Gonzalez playing Elphaba, Kathy Fitzgerald in the role of Madame Morrible, Andy Karl playing Fiyero, P.J.
