Wicked Springfield | Junita K Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts

Springfield is in for a treat this Valetine’s Day. The Broadway phenomenon Wicked will be making its debut at Springfield’s Junita K Hammons Hall for the Performing Arts from February 3 through 14, 2016.

Wicked is the reimagining of the L. Frank Baum classic The Wizard of Oz. Instead of cavorting down the Yellow Brick Road with Dorothy and Toto, we turn back the clock to when Oz was a more innocent place. We meet Glinda and Elphaba (Wicked Witch of the West) as they are roommates as school girls. Their stark differences caused them to clash right away, but each comes to respect and befriend the other. A beautiful friendship is ultimately derailed by jealousy and circumstance as they story unfolds, hurdling itself towards the opening pages of the The Wizard of Oz. Its clever, inventive and truly unforgettable.

Wicked may not pass through Springfield again so be sure to lock down your tickets for this limited engagement while you can.
