Wicked San Diego Has $25 Tickets via Daily Lottery

The last time Wicked performed in San Diego, it broke all box office records. The musical is returning, with each show offering the chance to win tickets at amazing prices. Wicked will run June 20-July 15. Each show will offer theatre goers the chance to win orchestra seats priced at $25 a piece via an audience lottery.

A limited set of orchestra tickets will be offered for every show via a performance lottery the day of each performance. Individuals will need to show up two and one half hours before the performance to have their names placed into the lottery drum. The drawing will take place thirty minutes later for a limited amount of tickets priced at $25. The ticket can be purchased only with cash. There is a two ticket limit per person. Individuals must show up in person to the box office to be eligible for the drawing. When purchasing tickets and submitting entry forms, valid picture ID must be presented.

Wicked tells the untold story of Oz’s two famous witches, painting a vivid portrait of popularity, love, ambition and friendship. The two girls meet while attending sorcery school. One is talented and has green skinned, the other is beautiful, popular and ambitious. The unlikely friendship turns into a powerful force throughout Oz. Wicked’s lyrics and music are from Stephen Scwhartz and book is from Winnie Holzman. Wicked is based on Gregory Maguire’s 1995 best seller.

Wicked performances will begin at San Diego’s Civic Theatre on June 20.
