Wicked is slated to hit Portland, OR for a three-week run in the spring of 2012, from March 14 to April 8, 2012. Featuring a book written by Winnie Holzman with songs and scores composed by Stephen Schwartz of Godspeed and Prince of Egypt fame, Wicked is the story between two friends, blonde and ambitious Galinda, and smart, insightful and emerald skinned Elphaba. With their differing perspectives and attitudes while vying for the affection of the same man, these two will have to fulfill distinctly opposite destinies, with one becoming the Good Witch of the North while the other, bearing the curse of being the Wicked Witch of the West.
