Wicked comes to Austin, TX in early 2012 as part of its current national tour. It will be mounted at the Bass Concert Hall from January 25 to February 12, 2012.
Nominated for 10 Tony Awards in 2004 and bagging three, Wicked is the twisted tale of the wicked witch who fought Dorothy in the tale of the Wizard of Oz. But this not the story of the girl straight out of the Kansas train and wreaked havoc in Munchkinland, but the story of Elphaba, the emerald skinned girl from Oz with a sharp mind and quick wit, but was fated, or maybe spellbound, to be the Wicked Witch of the West.

Wicked was last in Austin, Texas playing its premiere performance at the Bass Concert Hall from August 12-30, 2009. Tickets were sold through the University of Texas Performing Arts Center website.
