The record breaking run of “Wicked” in San Francisco is coming to a close. The return engagement for the incredibly popular prequel to the “Wizard of Oz” will be closing on September 5, following 660 performances in San Francisco, the city where “Wicked” first was born and got its start. Theater officials are saying that the blockbuster musical needs to close in order to make room for a “West Side Story” revival along with other touring shows that part of this fall’s Best of Broadway/SHN series. Over 1 million theatergoers in San Francisco so far have have seen “Wicked” The production started in January 2009. To date the musical has grossed over $75 million.

Wicked will be coming to the Orange County Performing Arts Center (OCPAC) in Costa Mesa, California from March 9 – April 3, 2011. This slate of performances will mark Wicked’s debut at the Orange County PAC as well as its second stop in California in 2011 (Wicked Fresno).

Wicked will be coming to the Carr Performing Arts Centre in Orlando, Florida from February 23 – March 27. The 2011 Wicked Orlando cast includes Jackie Burns (Elphaba), Chandra Lee Schwartz (Glinda), Randy Danson (Madame Morrible) and Gene Weygandt (The Wizard). Tickets go onsale to the general public via Ticketmaster on December 10.

Wicked was last in Boston, Massachusetts playing the Opera House from September 1 – October 17. The 2010 Wicked Boston cast includes Donna Vivino (Elphaba), Chandra Lee Schwartz (Glinda), Randy Danson (Madame Morrible) and Richard Kline (The Wizard).

Wicked was last in Madison, Wisconsin playing the Overture Center from September 22 – October 10. The 2010 Wicked Cast for Madison included Vicki Noon (Elphaba), Natalie Daradich (Glinda), Marilyn Caskey (Madade Morrible) and Don Amendolia (The Wizard).

Wicked was last in Minneapolis, Minnesota playing the Orpheum Theatre from August 11 – September 19. The 2010 Wicked Minneapolis for Dallas included Vicki Noon (Elphaba), Natalie Daradich (Glinda), Marilyn Caskey (Madade Morrible) and Don Amendolia (The Wizard).

Wicked was last in Memphis, Tennessee, playing the Orpheum Theatre on October 13 – 31. The 2010 Wicked Cast for Memphis includes Vicki Noon (Elphaba), Natalie Daradich (Glinda), Marilyn Caskey (Madade Morrible) and Don Amendolia (The Wizard).

Wicked was last in Toronto, Ontario playing the Canon Theater from October 20 – November 28. The 2010 Wicked Toronto cast included Jackie Burns (Elphaba), Chandra Lee Schwartz (Glinda), Randy Danson (Madame Morrible) and Gene Weygandt (The Wizard).

Wicked was last in Little Rock, Arkansas playing the Robinson Center from November 3 – 14. This trip to the midwest marked Wicked’s debut in Little Rock. Tickets went onsale to the general public via Ticketmaster on September 17. The 2010 Wicked Little Rock cast included Vicki Noon (Elphaba), Natalie Daradich (Glinda), Marilyn Caskey (Madade Morrible) and Don Amendolia (The Wizard).
