Wicked, the Broadway musical, is a spectacular and colorful yet at the same time dark show that will amaze and mesmerize you for two and a half hours. The Broadway show Wicked is an adaptation of the best selling novel by Gregory Maguire, Wicked: The Life and Times of the Wicked Witch of the West.

Michelle Federer, the original Broadway Nessarose, returned to her role in the musical Wicked on August 18, 2009. She takes over for Christy Candler whose final performance was on August 16, 2009.

Wicked is currently playing at the Apollo Theatre in London, England in an open ended engagement. The musical opened in September of 2006 and has been dubbed “the West End’s Most Successful Musical.” By its 1000th performance on February 14, it had served two million patrons, taking in over 67 million at the box office.

Wicked, the musical from Stephen Schwartz and Winnie Holtzman, welcomed in its latest Glinda, Erin Mackey, on August 11 at the Gershwin Theatre on Broadway. Mackey has taken over for Alli Mauzey in the role that was created originally by Kristin Chenoweth, a Tony Award winner.

Wicked was last in Columbus, Ohio playing the Ohio Theater from July 28 – August 29. The 2010 Wicked Cast for Columbus included Donna Vivino (Elphaba), Chandra Lee Schwartz (Glinda), Randy Danson (Madame Morrible) and Richard Kline (The Wizard).

Tickets went go onsale to the general public through Ticketmaster on Thursday, May 20 at 10am EDT.
